The high-temperature performance is not directly related to the color. Using different base oils and additives or thickeners, it will have different colors.
Lithium grease, especially lithium 12-hydroxy stearate thickened grease, only has a two-phase change temperature. The first phase change temperature (i.e., from pseudo-gel state to gel state) is generally above 170 ℃, and the second phase change temperature (i.e., from a gel state to a soluble state) is generally above 200 ℃. Therefore, when elected with suitable mineral oil, it can be used for a long time at 120 ℃ or for short-term use to 150 ℃.
Lithium grease, especially lithium 12-hydroxy stearate thickened grease, as seen by electron microscopy, its soap fibers form a double strand, entangled in the twisted band-like, therefore, which has good mechanical stability.
Through gas chromatography, lithium 12-hydroxy stearate, and lithium stearate on the heat of adsorption of alkanes, it was found that lithium 12-hydroxy stearate and lithium stearate, the soap fiber surface liquid phase bonding strength, and the lattice of liquid phase bonding strength are larger. Therefore, lithium grease has good colloidal stability.
Lithium grease has a better water resistance, which can be used for wet and water contact with the mechanical parts.
